About Carla Caruso:
Originally from New York City, Carla Caruso now lives and works in Western Massachusetts. She graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1987 with a BFA in glass sculpture. Over the years, her work evolved from glass jewelry to fine jewelry, with a few experiments in between, including being a pastry chef for a while!
For years Carla made jewelry in a converted garage behind a rented house outside Northampton. She now lives in a farmhouse with her faithful pup Birdie, works in a studio above her garage, and continues to make each and every piece by hand.
Christina Ricci, Jodie Foster, Christy Turlington and even Mary Tyler Moore are wearing Carla's jewelry. It's been spotted on Julianna Margulies in The Good Wife and Catherine Zeta Jones in No Reservations.
Her collection has evolved over the years but the essence remains the same: handmade jewelry that wears beautifully.
