Hand-painted Ceramic Tumbler
Small ceramic tumblers, perfect for any beverage. Crafted by Sylvia Wyler in the island woods of Maine, in an old boathouse and now, in her Costa Rican studio where the jungle meets the sea. We love the hand painted lines in a dark indigo glaze, as well as the muted marks in her off white glazes.
Working with clay as a child in Pittsburgh, Sylvia discovered her passion for making pottery at an early age. She later attended Colby College and Maine College College of Art, where she fell in love with the natural beauty of Maine.
Each piece is hand built, allowing for a gradual growth in form, while remaining open to the possibilities suggested by the process. Sylvia works in clay for its suppleness, strength and delicacy - the ability of the material to be transformed in both shape and texture. Inspired by natural forms, plants and the coast of Maine, Sylvia uses color and pattern to enliven the surface.
Sold individually. Each tumbler is about 4" tall x 3" wide.
SHIPPING POLICY:
We apply a $10 flat rate for standard ground shipping on orders shipped within the United States, with some exclusions for fragile, heavy, or oversized items.
Leather Bags: Most Stitch and Tickle leather items are made to order and may take up to 2 weeks to ship. We’re happy to accommodate faster turn around times when possible. Items from the shop ship within 3 business days when in stock. Please let us know if you’re on a tight deadline and we'll do our best to accommodate.
Other items from the shop: If in stock, we ship at least twice a week, i.e. usually within 3 business days from when you placed your order. In the event that some items are on backorder from our suppliers, you will be notified as soon as possible with expected ship date.
Most items ship via UPS Ground or USPS, depending on pickups and rates (which vary often). Stitch and Tickle is not responsible for items lost in transit or after delivery. Customers will receive a shipping notification with a tracking number once their order ships and it is the customer's responsibility to track and collect their package at delivery to minimize the risk of loss or theft. Stitch and Tickle is not responsible for any loss or damage during transit.
International orders: Exact shipping charges will be quoted at checkout depending on the chosen shipping method.
