Original Cyanotype Prints - Small A5 size

New small  original botanical cyanotypes by Dutch artist Roos Brancovitch.  Cyanotype is a photographic process that dates back to the 19th century where the paper or fabric is covered with light sensitive emulsion. The prints are made by setting objects or plants on top of the coated surface and exposing them to light. The areas covered by the objects remain white while exposed areas turn deep blue as they dry. Roos spends a long time doing elaborate compositions which she then turns into negatives and reproduce on paper or fabric.

Prints come unframed with an envelope, 

Care: Blue prints are relatively color fast but you should avoid direct sunlight.  Should the color fade a bit in the light, store it in a dark room for a little while to restore the original blue color.

Items from the shop ship within 3 business days when in stock. Please let us know if you’re on a tight deadline and we'll do our best to accommodate. 

Other items from the shop: If in stock, we ship twice a week so usually within 3 business days from when you placed your order. 

All items ship via USPS or UPS Ground. Priority Mail now includes a delivery confirmation tracking number from USPS, but does not include insurance.

Please contact us at the time of purchase to request the package to be insured as it needs to be done at the time of shipping. Stitch and Tickle is not responsible for any loss or damage during transit.
